MESSAGE TOPIC: EXCEEDING ABUNDANT GRACE (4) – THE LIFE OF JOSEPH

MESSAGE OBJECTIVES:

1. Understanding what the grace of God did in the life of Joseph
2. Understanding his secrets to accessing that grace

The grace of God is a lifeline in the ocean of troubles; it is a helpline in times of crisis

THE ODDS AND TROUBLES IN THE LIFE OF JOSEPH THAT GRACE RESCUED HIM FROM:

1. Joseph was a motherless boy in a polygamous home (Gen. 35:18)
2. Joseph was the young man who literally raised himself and his younger brother
3. Joseph was hated by his siblings for standing on the ground of righteousness (Gen. 37:2)
4. Joseph was the young man that was hated for being favoured by his father (Gen. 37:4)
5. Joseph was the young man who was the victim of family conspiracy (Gen. 37:28)
6. Joseph was the victim of false accusation and imprisonment

WHAT THE GRACE/HELP OF GOD DID FOR JOSEPH:

1. God gave him promotion even in the condition of slavery (Gen. 39:2)
2. God gave him promotion in prison
   It doesn’t matter where people keep you, if the hand of God is on your life, no devil can tamper with your destiny
3. God gave him the vision of the future (Gen. 37:5-9)
4. God gave him wisdom for successful living (Gen. 41:39)
5. God gave him favour before the king of Egypt (Acts 7:10)
6. God gave Joseph wealth, power and influence in a strange land (Gen. 41:39-44)

WHAT WERE THE SECRETS OF JOSEPH?

1. Passion for God’s Presence (Gen. 39:2, 21)
   If you are passionate for God’s presence, no devil can deny you your portion in the land of the living.

There is a connection between your passion for God and your portion in life
The Presence of God is key to rest, it divided the Red Sea, it is the secret of the Anointing (Acts 10:38)

2. The fear of the Lord (Gen. 42:18; Prov. 8:13)
   The fear of God will attract the grace of God
   When you fear God you are not comfortable with evil
3. Interest in the welfare of others (Gen. 4:5-8)
4. The heart of servanthood and humility (Gen. 40:3-4)
   That heart of servanthood and humility will attract the grace of God
5. The heart of forgiveness (Gen. 50:20-21)
   For as long as you live in this world offences will come but every offence came to reduce grace

PRAYER:
Father, thank You for Your Word. To You be all the glory Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

ANOINTING FOCUS (ZECHARIAH 12:10):
THE RELEASE OF THE SPIRIT OF GRACE

• Grace is key to gifts
• Grace is the secret of ease
• Anywhere this Oil is poured grace has come, ease has come, speed has come, limitations are broken!

PROPHETIC DECLARATIONS:

• Everything called a plague in your life is dead right now!
• Safety is your portion
• I take authority over every enemy agenda for your life!
• You shall not labour in vain or bring forth for trouble!
• Every spirit behind dryness in your life is arrested right now!
• I declare fruitfulness in your life and on all sides!
• It is time for manifestation!
• Every stranger in your life and in your body today, that stranger is out!
• Every genetic abnormality is flushed out!
• God is going to give you the kind of influence that will shock your generation!
• Congratulations because God is changing your story!
