BE STRONG IN THE LORD – THE NECESSITY OF SPIRITUAL STRENGTH By: Dr Paul Enenche

MESSAGE TOPIC: BE STRONG IN THE LORD – THE NECESSITY OF SPIRITUAL STRENGTH

WHY SPIRITUAL STRENGTH IS NECESSARY:
1. Spiritual strength is needed to handle spiritual warfare (Eph. 6:10; 2 Cor. 10:3-6; Judg. 6:25)
If you are not to end as a victim of spiritual warfare, you need strength in the Lord

2. Spiritual strength is needed to turn sudden battles to the gates of the enemy (Isa. 28:5-6; 2 Sam. 22:40; Ps. 18:39; Josh. 14:11; Ps. 18:39)

3. Spiritual strength is needed to stand firm in the days of adversity (Prov. 24:10; Eph. 3:14-16)
When wind blows paper flies but not metal; and in life, wind must blow; if you want the blowing of the wind not to affect you, you must refuse to be lightweight/paper
In the days of the storm and of adversity, what makes you seem like nothing is happening is inner strength and resilience

4. Spiritual strength is needed to birth Divine purpose and vision (2 Kings 19:3; Isa. 37:3; Prov. 30:30)
Anything that must be born spiritually must be born by strength, and the bigger the child, the higher the strength needed to birth it

5. Spiritual strength is needed to move with speed in life (Ps. 19:1-5; 1 Kings 18:46)
You must run with speed so that you don’t become history while you are alive
You must run with speed so that you don’t become angry when you are left behind
If you are not happy with your speed in life, ministry and assignment, build up your strength.

6. Spiritual strength is needed to scale heights and cross obstacles (Hab. 3:17-19; Joel 2:1-7)
If you want to shift higher you move by strength

7. Spiritual strength is needed to command generational exploits (Dan. 11:32; Judg. 16:1-3)

8. Spiritual strength is needed to bear the burden of a challenged generation; to bear the burden of the weak (Rom. 15:1)
There is a family, city, nation and generation that is counting on your strength
Even if you don’t need strength because of yourself, what of your siblings that are failing or dying? What about your community and your nation?
You need to be strong for you family, your parents, your children, your contemporaries and those trying to sink or give up.

PRAYERS
Father, tonight I connect to strength, and to an encounter that will culminate into strength from above Lord, in Jesus Name (Matt. 11:12).

Father, I have come before You today to receive strength to handle spiritual warfare, strength to turn sudden battles to the gates of the enemy, strength to stand firm in the days of adversity, strength to move with speed in life, strength to scale heights and cross obstacles, strength to command generational exploits, strength to bear the burden of a challenged generation; to bear the burden of the weak; I receive it Lord, in Jesus Name.
