Text: Matthew I 1:12
Theme: BE STRONG IN THE LORD
Memory Verse: “Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.” (Ephesians 6: 10)
Life is full of battles and anyone who is not strong in the Lord cannot win those battles. The bible inform us that since the days of John the Baptist, the kingdom of God suffers violence and the violent take it by force.
The bible also opens our eyes to the fact that we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities and powers, against spiritual wickedness in high places and against the rulers of the darkness of this world.
Against this backdrop, God instructs us to be strong in Him and in the power of His might knowing that that is the only way we can withstand the fiery darts of the devil.
God knows that if we are not strong in Him, the enemy will humiliate and embarrass us. He also knows that when we do not abide in Him and Him in us, we cannot bear much fruit.
God has already blessed mankind, but He knows that if we are not strong in Him, it will be difficult to obtain breakthrough and possess our possessions. If we are not strong spiritually, even if God helps us to obtain breakthrough, we will not be able to sustain it and possess our possessions.
Unfortunately, this is the case of many so-called believers. They are not strong in the Lord nor in the power of His might. They are not strong in prayer, fasting, or reading and meditating on the word of God. They are neither righteous committed to the things of God.
You need to take a look at yourself to day as a professed believer in Christ. Can you boldly claim that you are strong in the Lord and in the power of His might? God is therefore using today’s prayer guide to urge every believer in Christ to be strong in Him and in the power of His might. Therefore, take advantage of the power embedded in spiritual things to overcome the devil, obtain breakthrough and possess your possessions. Be strong in prayer, fasting, evangelism, reading and meditating on the word of God and generally serving God in spirit and in truth.
Worship/praise God and then pray the following prayer points:
1. O God, make me to be strong in you and in the power of your might, in Jesus name.
2. Lord, put upon me your whole armour of warfare and arm me with the grace to stand against the wiles of the devil, in Jesus name.
3. Father, put upon me a fresh garment of prayer, in Jesus name.
4. Father, release fresh anointing and power upon our G. O and catapult him to the realm of the supernatural, in Jesus name.⁸
