SEEDS OF DESTINY DAILY DEVOTIONAL BY DR PAUL ENENCHE.
MONDAY 20 NOVEMBER, 2023
TOPIC: BEWARE OF CORRUPTIION
SCRIPTURE: But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king’s meat… DANIEL 1:8.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Integrity upholds destiny.
It has been confirmed that integrity upholds destiny.
If you look at the lion and the eagle, these are two outstanding animals. The eagle is the king of birds in the air, and the lion is the king of animals on land.
One common character about these two animals is that they will never taste corruption. Once a piece of meat is rotten, it is not for the lion. That rotten piece of meat may be good for the jackal, but not for the lion.
Also, a rotten piece of meat is not good for the eagle; it may be good and acceptable to the vulture, but not for the eagle. If the meat is for the eagle, it must be fresh and dripping with blood. That is why the eagle can fly at ten thousand feet above sea level. That is why it can carry a weight that is three times its size. The eagle is a symbol of power, royalty, and decency in most cultures around the world. It is a prominent symbol in the coat of arms of many countries including Nigeria, USA and others.
The eagle is the king of birds because of its integrity. The eagle has one mate for life.
As for the vulture, the rottener a piece of flesh, the better; the smellier the better.
Now, when someone sees a vision or has a dream about an eagle, it is considered to be a good vision or dream. But if someone has a dream of seeing some group of vultures hovering over his head, that would be a dream to cast and bind-a nightmare. This is because the vulture is known for corruption.
The question is: what kind of Christian are you? Are you an eagle or a vulture in terms of character?
Remember this: Integrity upholds destiny.
ASSIGNMENT:
1. Prayerfully and thoughtfully, go through today’s message once again.
2. Ask yourself, “Am I an “eagle” or a “vulture” in character?”
3. Ask God for the grace to uphold integrity like Daniel, Joseph, Jesus Christ, etc.
PRAYER: Lord, I ask that You purge me of any form of corruption in my life. Help me to be pure as You are so I can fulfil destiny Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

QUOTE: What limits the vulture? It is clear: the vulture enjoys corruption while the eagle has no time for decadence. It seems to me that the vulture enjoys eating rotten flesh – the rottener the better; the ‘smeller’ the better. Culled from the book, “Who Are You?” by Dr Paul Enenche.
DAILY READING: 1 Corinthians 2-4.
AMAZING FACT: An elephant’s trunk weighs around 400 pounds and contains around 100,000 different muscles.
