TOPIC: DEALING WITH THE ENEMY OF FAMILY LIFE
Scripture: Matthew 13: 25. But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way.
Beloved, I welcome you to another Moment of Daily Encounter! We established yesterday that Satan is the arch enemy of family life. And he operates more when people lack knowledge of his activities by deception. He also operates by sending demons, and finally we said he does operate by luring people into covenants.
Our anchor scripture (Matt.13:25) made us to understand that there’s an enemy that comes to sow bad seeds into family life while men are sleeping. The enemy is Satan the devil!
He operates by creating a stronghold in the mind of people. A stronghold is a faulty belief system that is enforced by demons to make sure a person never receives and believes the truth of the word of God.
What is the way out?
To be able to deal with the enemy of family life, we must do the following:
1. Experience Salvation (Jn.3;3-5): you must be born again. You must be willing to hand over your life to Jesus and turn your back on the devil.
2. You must be baptized by immersion! This is water Baptism(Mrk.1:5). Most people don’t know that water baptism is a covenant. When you are properly baptized, you enter into a superior covenant than whatever covenant that was following you from your ancestry.
3. You must contend for Transformation of your mind set by constant feeding on the word of God.(Rom 8:29-30, 1Pet.2:2):
Romans 12: 2. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
4. Always agree with your spouse in prayer:
Matthew 18: 19. Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.
Hold your hands together and agree concerning anything bothering you or your family. This kind of prayer promotes peace and harmony in the home. Remember it is couple’s prayer not the entire family, so children must not be part of this, let it be between the legally married couples agreeing and decreeing concerning any issues of the family.
5. Make sure proper marriage is conducted. If you are yet to pay your dowry, you are not yet married properly. So do the needful and obtain parental and pastoral blessings upon your marriage.
6. Engage the anointing! There is grace that terminates yokes, this grace is in the life of God’s servant, engage the anointing upon their lives and every spells of the devil shall be broken
7. Destroying every open doors through which the devil to comes into your life again.
This includes;
A. Secrecy(Eph.5:11): You must open up every secret affairs to your spouse. The wife must open up her affairs with the devil to her husband and to her pastor as well.
The devil might threaten you that if you do a,b,c will happen to you just to instil fear into you. It is all lies, nothing evil will happen to you for revealing their secrets. The devil has power over you only as you maintained his secret.
Secrecy is the strength of every covenant with the devil, so if you open up, you are on your way to victory. Are you being molested in the dream? Open up, let the devil know you are not agreeing with him.
B. Sin(1Jn.3:8); if you continue in sin, then you empowering the devil over your life. You cannot be eating from Satan and also from God’s table(1Cor.10:21). If you are given to sexual immorality, stop it and discipline yourself until you are married because illicit sex is one of the fastest means of getting demons into your life, so maintain sexual purity.
C. Shun unforgiveness, bitterness, anger and malice.
D. Destroy every token and altar given to you by spirit spouse. Marriage certificate, rings, jewelry, perfumes, money and even the business gotten through them must be closed down.
E. Close down every illegal business such as drinking bar, sales of cigarettes, tobacco, night club etc
Remember this; Heaven is real and hell is real. Eternity is ahead every man, prepare for yours today.
Prayer points:
– Father thank you for your word to me today.
– Lord, I receive grace to do the needful to chase out the devil out of my family life in Jesus name.
Prophetic Declaration;
– I prophesy upon your life every yoke of enslavement is broken now in the name of Jesus
– Receive grace to do the needful to secure your victory over the devil permanently in the name of Jesus.
