when Pastor Enoch Adeboye proudly announced that he obtained his B.Sc degree in Mathematics from the University of Ife (now, OAU), and that he is a great Ife product
Pastor Adeboye eulogized the Vice-Chancellor of Obafemi Awolowo University Prof. Bamitale Omole for his administrative prowess and the ingenuity with which he has been running the affairs of the University, adding that only born again Vice-Chancellors like Prof. Omole, could exhibit such a high level of transparency.
Pastor Adeboye, who is the General Overseer of the RCCG (worldwide), had instructed that the Vice-Chancellor of Obafemi Awolowo University, Professor Bamitale Omole, be taken to the podium when he came to join him and presented a UBA cheque of N50 million Naira to the Vice-Chancellor for the endowment of a Professorial Chair in the Department of Mathematics.
He, thereafter, called on all eminent Nigerians who were privileged to be in positions of authority to emulate Prof. Omole and in administering their institutions with the fear of God so that “our country would be a much safer and better place to live in”.
