SEEDS OF DESTINY DEVOTIONAL,
BY DR PST. PAUL ENENCHE:
(DUNAMIS INT’L GOSPEL CENTRE).
SUN. 24TH MARCH, 2024.
TOPIC: THE TRANSACTIONS OF LIFE.
SCRIPTURE: For what shall it profit a man if he shall gain the whole world and lose his soul.
(Mark 8:36)
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: A worthy life is a life lived unto profit and not unto losses.
The Scripture makes it clear that life is a transaction. This world is like a market place where transactions go on every day.
Mark 8:36 says,
For what shall it profit a man if he shall gain the whole world and lose his soul.
This means, for anything you have to gain, there must be another thing you would have to lose.
There are many people who have lost many things in their lives because of what they thought they were gaining.
For example, someone gained self-pleasure in immorality and got Hepatitis-B and HIV/AIDs; another person gained bribery and got a jail term, hellfire, etc.
So, you must remember that for anything you want to gain, there must be something you will have to give. You must ensure that the gain justifies what you give.
While growing up, some of us gave our youthfull lives to God while some of our friends were going for disco parties and wasting their lives in immorality.
And those who were living such wayward lives thought we were wasting our lives. They thought we had lost our youthfull lives and enjoyment.
Sadly, some of these people who thought they were gaining that time are not alive now; some of them died of HIV/AIDS. Some are living miserable lives today.
Beloved, for everything you are planning to gain, there is something to give. Don’t ever transact to lose. That was what Esau did. Esau wanted food and gave up his birth right. What a loss!
Someone may think he is enjoying his life today by taking drugs. A time will come when he would sell all his properties to service that lifestyle. Worse still, the drugs may even make him go insane after losing everything.
To live a worthy life, you must know that whatever you are giving is justified by what you are getting. A worthy life is a life lived unto profit and not unto losses.
Remember this: A worthy life is a life lived unto profit and not unto losses.
ASSIGNMENT:
1. Ask yourself: Am I living to gain or living to lose?
2. Make up your mind not to trade your eternal joy and peace for temporal pleasures.
PRAYER: Lord, I ask that You deliver me from the trap of the vanities of life. Help me to live in total dedication and submission to Your Will and Cause on earth, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

QUOTE: The question is not what you do, but who you are. You know it is possible for a person to act what he is not. People attend church consistently but still find time to be at the night club by weekend. Culled from the book, “Who Are You?” by Dr Paul Enenche.
DAILY READING: 1 Chronicles 3-5.
AMAZING FACT: Elephants have deep family bonds and tight-knit groups of related females and their offspring. Each herd consists of anywhere from 8-100 Elephants, all led by the oldest (and often largest) matriarch. When a calf is born, it’s raised by the whole herd.
PROPHETIC WORD (DECLARATION):
Grace and wisdom for profitable transaction in life be revealed for you, in Jesus’ Name.
Good Morning!
