HOW TO BIRTH SOMETHING GREAT.
Nehemiah 1:4. Just as the contractions of a woman’s uterus herald the beginning of labour, there are times when God’s Spirit stirs our souls to seasons of intense travail. This is the greatest indication of a new level of victory and ease. You begin to perceive a drawing to the place of prayer and definite instructions.
The level of a spiritual victory is directly affected by two Spiritual conditions:
The intensity of your desire and the size of your faith. God wants to see if you want the minimum or the maximum.
2Kings 13:18-19. The prophet Elisha took the young King Joash to a window facing East. Elisha instructed the king to fire an arrow in the direction of the Syrians and then to act out his zeal for victory.
Firing an arrow is what prayer does but taking action is the best way to demonstrate your tenacity. Victory is only possible when the power of a people combine with the power of the Spirit. Joash didn’t have victory for long because of low zeal for victory.
Moses didn’t make this mistake. His life as an intercessor was marked by intensity and endurance. Moses was a man who had his personal priority sorted out.
In Exodus 18 his father-in-law, Jethro taught him that intercession was the first of the six responsibilities of leadership.
God’s main method of turning a self-centered person into an others centered person is to set us in families. The grace for character transformation is always a Love relationship.
Love for Rachael sustained Jacob during the difficult season of his apprenticeship for leadership.
Have you ever wondered what it feels like to have a love relationship with God, it is the best place for divine surgery that cures, renews and transforms. Love is demonstrated and measured by sacrifice -costly action. Love continues no matter the cost.
Like Jacob we may begin the journey in human strength but finish with divine power.
God subtracts before He multiplies.
