Maximizing the Ministry of Prayer and of The Word

It is important that we establish one fact here, there is a greater reward to prayer than just the answer we receive from God when we pray, and the greater reward is what we become!
There is something we become,  Spiritually there is a growth an upgrade, power level changes, our spiritual sensitivity is developed and enhanced, we can hear God the more, we can discern better and distinguish between God and the Devil, these are some of the experience as we come into the place of Prayer.

We must also understand that Prayer and the Word are like ‘Hands and Glove’ the both of them goes together, we cannot utilize one and ignore the other, No! 

The Word of God is what grants us access to realms of Faith and Power in Prayer, when Men prays, God does mind blowing things, and that is why it is written; The Effectual Fervent prayer of the Righteous, avails much – James 5:16.

Prayer makes Power available, God comes in right on the scene, prayer moves God, Prayer grants men access to unusual dimension of the spirit, it grants men access into the anointing, it brings about a revival, it pulls the enemy back, the lifestyle of a Christian was design to essentially be a lifestyle of prayer, persistent, consistent, prayer.
The problem is ,many people pray and cease later, don’t get tired or retire from prayer, you need to keep engaging in order to keep winning, we fight a terrible devil and he would love to keep you perpetually weak in prayer, but you must not allow that to happen.
Jesus is our perfect example, and he is the guide and watchword of every Christian, Jesus prayed greatly, he prayed until his countenance was altered and today, he has all power in his hands.
Every day, God wants to hear from us, he wants to hear our Voice in prayer and he wants to speak to us and guide us in his word, that is why we must give ourselves to prayer and lifestyle of studying the Word consistently, this is very important.

Anytime you feel like slowing down, the enemy is not slowing down, we gain permanent victory when we are permanently in prayer, the truth is, when you are a praying Christian, you are bound to be a Winning Christian, Consistently, Prayer grants you that victory over the devil, even life circumstances can be changed and altered by prayer, Prayer is one of the medium by which we establish God’s verdict and kingdom on the earth, the Bible says, the weapon of our warfare are not carnal but they are mighty through God to pulling down of strong holds! –  2 Corinthians 10:4.

So we are more powerful than the soldiers and armed forces, no wonder the Queen of Scotland once said, I am not afraid of the armed forces, am only afraid of the Prayer of John Knot”. The Bible also makes it clear, that we wrestle not against Flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in High Places – Ephesians 6:12.



So The Complexity of the warfare we are in, is intense and our awareness about it, is of tremendous advantage to us, for the Bible says, Lest Satan should get an advantage of us for we are not ignorant of his Devices – 2 Corinthians 2: 11.

I remember a confession from a man who repented and gave his Life to Christ, but formerly use to be a demonic and darkness gang leader, he made it clear that anytime they are operating on demonic agenda and they passed through an atmosphere where serious Christians are praying together, they are immediately disarmed and began to lose their power, so they run away from such an environment, this is a proof of the power that is made available to us when we pray.

Imagine if we set prayer centers in all our houses, shop, commercial place, home, church, fellowship centers, school and all that, we will literally send the devil out of town and send him out of Business, some of the unrighteousness in our days they abound this much because the righteous aren’t praying, we can shut down system and governmental operations that is contradicting God’s system and Kingdom by our prayers.

A Good example is Daniel, he was not disobeying any rules and regulations from the nation’s laws, but he was arrested just because he prays to the living God always, and God vindicated him, shut the mouth of the lions and eventually his enemies took his place, this is the victory and winning power of God that is available to every Believers, we can change any evil law that is against the laws of our God, a man cannot over-power God, God is still In charge, he rules and Reigns over all, but to change things, we need to give ourselves to praying. A Praying Christian is a winning Christian, Power is made available to deal with the enemy when we pray.
How Do We Pray Profitably?

1. Pray in the name of Jesus: The Bible says, Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name; that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth and things under the earth; an every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father – Philippians 9 – 11. There is great power in the name of Jesus, when you pray always in the name of Jesus, you are sure of answers to prayer, many times I have had the privilege to pray for the sick, and I pray in the name of Jesus, You are Healed! And they always get healed, because that name is powerful, when you call it with full assurance of Faith, knowing fully well what it carries, the power there is made available to you.
2. Pray in Faith: The Bible says ‘But without Faith, it is impossible to please him: for He that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him – Hebrews 11:6. When you come before God in prayer, you must remember that he is your father, and he hears and answers prayer, you must come with that full assurance of Faith, so when you ask, you will receive, because a doubtful heart will never receive anything from God, but when your faith is activated, then you are set to receive from the Lord. Remember The Word of God says ‘And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer and while they are yet speaking, I will hear – Isaiah 65:24. God does not keep prayers, he answer Prayers!
3. Pray with the word of God: The Word of God is quick and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the diving asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart – Hebrews 4:12. You must pray inline with the word of God and also declare the word of God as you engage in prayer, it is the sword of the spirit, as you engage it, they demons flew away and it also kills them per time,, because it carries power, John 6:63 says ‘It is the spirit that quickeneth, the flesh profiteth nothing, the words that I speak to you they are spirit and life. So the word of God carries spirit and life, when you declare the word, fire is release through your mouth and every demon will just have to fly!
4. Pray in the Spirit: There is a necessity of the Baptism of the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in Tongues for every Christian, this is how you gain authority and power over the kingdom of Darkness, even over the Devil, when you pray in Tongues, you are switch into the realm of the spirit where Power is made available, God fills your spirit to the extent that your soul and body begin to feel the power, you are edify beyond measure, you are tuned to God’s frequency where you can hear God clearer and pick his voice and instructions per time, this is how to live as a victorious Christian, most of the besetting sins can be dealt with when you pray always in Tongues, see what the Bible says; Forhe that speaks in an unknown tonguespeaks not unto men, but unto God, for no one understands him, even though by the Spirit he speaks mysteries. – 1 Corinthians 14:2, Also in Jude 1:20  the Bible says – But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, This is the potency of praying always in the Holy Ghost, you speak to God and you hear from God expressly, you are edify, empowered and Build up!
5. Pray Continuously: This is a situation, where you come to a point where you are permanently given to Prayer, where you pray without ceasing (). It is the secret to winning consistently in Battle, it is very vital for every child of God, consistency in Prayer, is a profound requirement, there are a lot of spiritual activities that takes place when we come into that realm, you gain access to Mantles and Unction of the Spirit, a good example of such is ‘Elijah’ he was ever praying and he commanded strange breakthrough in his time, due to the tenacity and capacity of the prayer stamina, he wrought great exploit and dealt with the power that be, he dealt with Baal and the prophets of Baal, he rendered them powerless, when he tarried before God to an extent, some portion of God were deposited into him, to the extent that the spirit began to carry him here and there as duty calls, he operated the supernatural, he existed like a ‘god’.

This is what happens when we pray, when you are permanently in prayer, the oppression that always tie you down before, are now under your feet and you are also delivering people in the same shoe, because the power God now dwells on the inside of you, this is the beautiful aspect of Spiritual adventure, when you come to that point that you carry God on your inside, and then out of your belle flows rivers of living water, there is a realm you get to in prayer that anything can happen through you, the blind can see, the lame can walk, because of the deposit of God on your inside, Brethren, I encourage you to pray without ceasing, give yourself to a voracious study of the word of God.

The Word of God is a spirit, when you camp with God in his word, the spirit of the word enters into you and you begin to function in strange dimension, this is what makes Christianity powerful and interesting, it is that ability to make progress in God and Spiritual hierarchy till we begin to exist like a god and send the devil out of town and take the territory for Jesus.
