Debonair, cultured, and always attired in bespoke outfits. He may not fit the popular perception of a Preacher-Man, but that is okay. He is not just any Preacher-Man; he is the Founder, Prelate and Senior Pastor of The House On The Rock Church worldwide- A ministry known for its call to excellence, among other things.
Born in 1963 to a Nigerian Father and a Jamaican Mother, Pastor Paul attended St Saviour’s School Ikoyi for his Primary education, Igbobi College, Yaba and later a Public School in England, Haileybury College, Hertfordshire, for his Secondary education. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from the University of Miami in Florida. He practiced for a time as an Architect with Baldwin, Sackman & Carrington Architects, also in Florida.
Born into an affluent home, Pastor Paul was unfortunately a drug addict until his repentance and conversion in 1994. After his conversion, he undertook a Diploma in Christian Ministry from the International Bible Institute of London. Pastor Paul initially served in a volunteer capacity as a Youth Pastor in the United States, and thereafter received his first pastorate at the Action Chapel, London.
He started The House On The Rock Church in 1994 in his mother’s living room in Lagos with a few attendees. Proof of his calling is that the living room church has blossomed into a Ministry that has over 50 daughter churches in Africa and Europe. A well-known mentee of Bishop T.D. Jakes, Pastor Paul has been fervent in his message of hope to the world and especially the African continent where he resides. He is also the Founder and President of the Rock Foundation; a charity based Organization committed to social reformation, education, provision of healthcare and relief work for ex-convicts, drug addicts, and the downtrodden and disadvantaged in Nigeria and West Africa.
Pastor Paul’s capacity to teach, speak and preach from a personal and theological platform has strengthened and encouraged people across the globe. The Ministry promotes reconciliation, redemption and reformation cutting across denominational and social divides He has a burning passion to see the rehabilitation of his generation, his nation and his continent.
Speaking on the vision of his Ministry, Pastor Paul stated,
“Our vision is to be the voice of excellence, the hand of power and a bridge of hope. We believe in the power of God to change lives and value the practical application of His Word to make a difference in who we are and what we do. Believing and obeying His Word leads us in a discovery of real life and a hope for eternity. This is what the Bible teaches us, that Jesus Christ came as God’s gift to the world with a message of Good News.”

Pastor Paul obeyed the leading of God to start the Lagos Experience Gospel Musical Concert and the program was first produced in 2006. Now in its 6th year, the Lagos Experience is now becoming a landmark event that draws gospel music greats of this age. It has been touted as the largest musical event in Africa and the largest ever gospel musical event in the history of the world!!! Pastor Paul is indeed a visionary and a trend setter.
He scored the lead role [the voice of God] in the Hollywood acclaimed Bible Experience, the largest selling audio book in world history. Did I add that he is also a singer? Pastor Paul  produced an album in 2011 in which he collaborated with some of Nigeria’s leading musicians including Sammie Okposo, Niki Laoye, Timi Dakolo, Segun Obe and Saxophonist Mike Aremu.
The album which was recorded in the finest studios across the world has the production imprints of great producers like Cobhams Asuquo, Rotimi Akinfenwa, Flo, Darasen Richards, Nichola Brown and Wole Oni. Pastor Paul is one of the greatest televangelists in these parts, and his broadcast “Something Is About To Happen” is beamed to millions across the globe, bringing hope and restoration. He is also a conference speaker in great demand around the globe, and serves in several capacities in the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN). He authored a book titled “The Call for a Performing Generation”.
Pastor Paul is on the board of Impact Our World Leadership Initiative, a not-for-profit Organization that is poised to bring about transformation and positive change in leadership at all levels in the economic and socio-political sectors of Nigeria. They aim to impart sound and ethically accepted leadership norms via different platforms and initiatives that will reform the wrong mind-set that is present in the leadership at various levels in the society.
The House On The Rock Church Lagos which is the Headquarters recently completed its church building, the Rock Cathedral, which can sit at least 14, 000 worshippers in the church auditorium and another 10,000 within the church premises. The Rock Cathedral, also known as Millennium Temple, is situated along the Lekki Epe Express way, close to Liberty Hall.
Pastor Paul is married to the wife of his youth, Ifeanyi, and they are blessed with 3 children.
